Former Florida Panthers NHL Draft Pick Ben Finkelstein Signs With The Manotick Mariners

MANOTICK, ON - The Manotick Mariners have signed former NHL draft pick and defenceman Ben Finkelstein for the 2025-2026 season.

Ben spent 4 seasons in the NCAA, split between St. Lawrence University and Boston College. He then began his professional career, playing two seasons in the ECHL. During his 2021-2022 season, Ben amassed 62 points in 36 games played, which led all defensemen and earned him First All-Star Team honors.

Ben’s impressive ECHL numbers led him to the AHL, where he played 6 games for the Iowa Wild. The final 2 seasons of his professional career were spent in Austria (ICEHL) and Germany (DEL) where he continued to produce offensively.

Ben was selected by the Florida Panthers in the 2016 NHL Draft.
